Bid Writing and Strategic Proposition Support

Ensuring the seamless integration of delivery models within a new partnership

The client

WCG, a Canadian leader in employment and vocational rehabilitation services, approached 50 Degrees for support in expanding its federal portfolio following the launch of Veteran Affairs Canada’s (VAC) new Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Programme.

The challenge

To strengthen its position, WCG formed a partnership with Lifemark Health Group – Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS)- which combined WCG’s vocational expertise with Lifemark’s strengths in clinical support. Although beneficial, this partnership required the seamless integration of delivery models, messaging, and value propositions to produce a strong and coherent bid submission spanning 1,000+ pages. Success meant demonstrating not only technical expertise, but a unified, client-focused vision aligned with VAC’s evolving expectations

What we did

50 Degrees was engaged to provide end-to-end support across all phases of the procurement process. This included:

Bid Writing: acting as the lead writing partner for the full, 1,000+ submission; managing content development, structuring, and refining across all responses; and ensuring consistency, clarity, and a compelling tone of voice throughout. Our writers integrated input from both WCG and Lifemark (including operational, clinical, and strategic models) to create a unified narrative

Quality Assurance: leveraging UK-Canada time zone difference to create a near 24-hour production cycle, enabling content to be reviewed and refined continuously throughout the drafting process

Strategic Messaging and Value Proposition: helping to shape PCVRS’ overarching messaging, value proposition, and structure of the bid – ensuring alignment with VAC’s extensive evaluation framework and contract objectives

The result

50 Degrees’ end-to-end writing support enabled the new partnership to meet the demands of a complex federal procurement, deliver a fully integrated submission, and secure the £500M+ national contract to deliver VAC’s modernised Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program—a transformative win that positioned the new consortium as a leader in Canadian veteran services.
