Meet our Defence Expert

Eleanor Coombe is a PRINCE2-qualified bid and project management professional with UK and international experience across wide-ranging local and national government sectors. She is the former Director of Bidding and Governance (Europe) for Serco and has held senior business development roles with Mitie, Interserve and Strategic Team Group.

Selected Defence Projects

Eleanor has led and supported numerous high-profile defence projects across Europe and the UK. Most recently, she has been instrumental in securing contracts such as the maintenance of minehunter vessels for the Belgian and Dutch Navies, IFM support for Belgian military bases and monitoring of radioactivity at European ports. She has worked on contracts delivering simulated software training for the Belgian and Dutch armies, firefighting services for Leonardo at military air bases in Italy and engineering support for helicopters on behalf of the Italian MoD. Her experience also includes a DBFMO project for a European navy to create a new military village; supporting the introduction of next-generation vessels for UK Defence Maritime Services; and a UK joint venture to provide national Defence estate services, including IFM and range management, worth £1.5bn.
