Andy has over two decades’ experience working across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors in business development, strategy, and commissioning roles. He has supported organisations to design growth strategies, secure large-scale bids, redesign public services, and lead complex change programmes.

Before founding 50 Degrees, Andy was a Business Director at leading employability and public services providers, and Head of Procurement at Manchester City Council, where he helped secure the UK’s first DWP Devolution deal. His experience spans the UK, US, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Australia, across employability, health, local government, FM, and justice.

Emily has over 20 years’ experience leading the tendering lifecycle and writing winning bids. She has expertise across all aspects of tendering — resource and project management, solution and strategy design, quality assurance, writing, and production. Known for simplifying complex models into persuasive, compliant text, she helps teams craft strategic, high-scoring bids that showcase clients’ unique strengths.

Emily has secured more than £1bn in employment-related contracts for private and voluntary organisations. Before 50 Degrees, she was Head of Bid Production for a multi-national, giving her deep insight into global procurement. She has led international wins in Canada, the US, Saudi Arabia, and Australia across employability, health, local government, and justice.

Matt brings over three decades of international experience managing teams and businesses in outsourced public services, spanning employability, disability and health, education and skills, and criminal justice. He has operated at Chief Executive and Board advisory levels and led sales teams responsible for securing over £2bn of contracts across the UK, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East.

At 50 Degrees, Matt oversees business development strategy, resource planning, and operational delivery, while also leading people and wellbeing initiatives, including health allowances, coaching, and flexible working practices.

Helen has more than two decades’ experience leading business development teams to design and deliver effective public service programmes. She is skilled at coordinating multi-workstream solution design and tender development, producing integrated bids that meet and exceed commissioner expectations.

Her career includes senior business development roles at leading organisations, where she secured major contracts across employability, skills, education, health, and justice. At 50 Degrees, Helen has led on employment and social security programmes in the UK and internationally, including successful tenders in Canada and Australia.

John has over two decades’ experience designing, delivering, and mobilising public service programmes for both public and private sector providers. His career spans employability, health, skills, facilities management, and justice, with expertise in communications, marketing, public affairs, bid writing, project management, and contract mobilisation.

At 50 Degrees, John has been central to winning over £1bn in public service contracts, including large prison operator deals and national employability programmes. As the firm’s mobilisation lead, he helps clients define strategies, resource models, and detailed mobilisation plans.

Sarah is a highly experienced and adaptable Senior Bid Manager with a proven track record across the employability and skills, health and social care, justice, youth services, and charity sectors. She has also worked internationally with business development teams in France and Poland. Sarah excels in coordinating multiple workstreams and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure specialist expertise is harnessed and translated into compelling, successful bids.

At 50 Degrees, she has been instrumental in securing major justice-sector contracts, guiding clients into new markets such as carer and business support services, and achieving large-scale wins in employment and skills, including Work Programme and AEB funding.

Lucy has supported clients with growth strategy, solution design, and tender responses across employment, healthcare, justice, and facilities management. With a sharp eye for detail and a creative mindset, she excels at research and analysis, distilling complex findings into clear, dynamic insights that strengthen bids.

Her portfolio includes leading international employment market assessments, analysing devolved priorities for justice-sector tenders, and shaping social value offers. Lucy has been a core part of teams winning high-value contracts, including large-scale prison management bids and FM/TFM opportunities, alongside humanitarian and refugee support programmes.

Zach is an experienced Commercial Lead with deep expertise in designing and refining commercial and financial models for large-scale frontline public services, FM/TFM, and complex justice-sector contracts. He has been central to winning bids for major prison management opportunities, helping clients shape competitive, compliant, and sustainable pricing strategies.

Skilled in operational modelling, Zach collaborates with clients’ finance and delivery teams to ensure models are strategically sound, commercially viable, and clearly articulated. His portfolio spans the UK, Europe, India, and Australia across employability, justice, health, and FM.

Mark has 15 years of experience developing bids across public services, covering employability and skills, justice, digital and technology, and sustainability. He is highly skilled at bridging the gap between technical experts and bid teams, translating complex solutions into persuasive proposals.

As 50 Degrees’ Digital Lead, he guides clients through increasingly central IT and digital elements of bids, playing a pivotal role in securing major contracts, including prison digital solutions and communications systems. His portfolio spans the UK, Canada, the US, and Australia, and includes justice-sector and Canadian employability programmes wins.

Charlotte holds a First-Class Honours degree in English and Spanish and brings a unique blend of communication skills and technical expertise to her role. Before joining 50 Degrees, she worked at Autogen AI, a specialist AI bid-writing software provider, where she developed as a prompt engineer and gained hands-on experience applying artificial intelligence to support complex bids.

Charlotte has contributed to a wide range of tender responses and sales and marketing collateral for major clients across multiple industries, combining creativity with precision to deliver compelling content. At 50 Degrees, she is one of our internal AI Champions, helping to embed AI tools into our work-winning processes.

Alex has 15 years’ experience in business development and has been integral to the success of winning bids for FTSE 100 companies, SMEs, and charities. He has worked across the full business development lifecycle, from project management and solution design through to final quality assurance.

At 50 Degrees, Alex leads our Independent Bid Review service, providing clients with forensic assessments of their tenders. He has supported bids that secured over £1bn of new business across defence, employability, policing, energy, justice, and health.

Rowena has over 15 years’ experience managing bids across justice, employment services, health, policing, skills, and education. She has held Director-level business development posts at leading UK welfare-to-work providers and supported organisations from small charities to FTSE 100 companies.

She has led large-scale, end-to-end bids covering strategy, financial modelling, writing, dialogue, solution design, and supply chain management. At 50 Degrees, Rowena has secured wins across justice (including prison operator contracts), international and UK employability programmes, and skills and social security tenders.

Chris has more than three decades of experience in the Criminal Justice and Immigration sectors, working across all levels of prison operations and senior management in both public and private organisations. With over 15 years dedicated to justice and immigration bidding, he has secured wins exceeding £2bn, covering solution design, bid management, mobilisation, and project delivery.

At 50 Degrees, Chris acts as a subject matter expert, helping clients design operational solutions that are commercially competitive, innovative, and deliverable.

Lorenza has over 25 years of senior business development and sales leadership experience, having built and led high-performing teams in major systems integrators. She has managed a 100-strong business development community, directed bids across public services, manufacturing, automotive, insurance, and telecoms, and led company-wide forecasting and performance.

As Head of Pre-Sales at the UK’s largest defence company, she established a dedicated bidding function. She later founded her own coaching practice, working with over 100 leaders. At 50 Degrees, she leads the Growth Accelerator, helping organisations assess growth maturity and strengthen their bidding capability.

Kerry is an APMP-qualified bid writer with a strong record of developing successful tender responses across education, skills, employability, justice, and health and care. She creates accurate, compelling, and compliant content that highlights client strengths while meeting commissioner requirements.

Kerry builds strong relationships with subject matter experts to ensure responses are grounded in delivery realities. At 50 Degrees, she has contributed to high-value wins, including prison education contracts, DWP employability programmes, and healthcare commissioning bids.

Anna is a policy consultant, researcher, and writer with extensive experience across the public and non-profit sectors, as well as running her own consultancy. She has held senior leadership roles designing research and policy programmes, advising on strategy, and guiding organisations through complex policy landscapes.

Her work focuses on employment, skills, welfare, and technology, with expertise in employment support innovation, low-paid employment, and the intersection of health and work. She produces insights that shape policy and delivery models, supporting organisations to create effective and inclusive services.
