Ireland’s largest employment activation initiative to date
High-value opportunities central to activation reform agenda
Delivery spanned urban centres and dispersed rural communities
A well-known UK employment services providers identified Ireland’s JobPath programme as a major strategic opportunity, one that required scaled activation support for long-term unemployed jobseekers across multiple regions- each with different labour market conditions. 50 Degrees was approached to strengthen the bid through solution design and writing support, helping shape a final submission that was compelling, evidence-led, and closely aligned with commissioner priorities.
The JobPath programme was a high-profile and highly competitive procurement at the centre of Ireland’s activation reforms. Bidders needed to demonstrate how they could delivery consistently high-quality services across very different regional contexts, spanning major urban centres to more dispersed rural communities. This meant presenting a service model that felt both scalable and local, backed by strong governance arrangements, credible partnerships, and a clear focus on sustained employment outcomes.
Our team of consultants worked closely with the client to sharpen their offer and the story behind it. We helped to develop a clearer narrative around activation expertise, regional delivery, and employer engagement, strengthening the underlying service model to reflect local labour market variation. Particular focus was given to detailing how support would work in different communities, including how local partnerships would be leveraged to sustain performance. Alongside bid writing, we challenged governance, risk and implementation plans to ensure credibility. Through iterative drafting and reviews, we created a coherent, persuasive submission that highlighted the provider’s track record, local integration, and ability to scale delivery consistently across all regions.
