Comprehensive Social Value response developed for commissioner
Aligned commitments to new Social Value Framework 2025
HR, ESG, and supply chain teams engaged
50 Degrees partnered with one of our long-term clients to support one of the most complex Social Value submissions we have worked on to date. The bid required a 30-page response, a detailed deliverables matrix, and alignment with both the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the UK’s emerging Social Value Framework (2025).
The scale and complexity of the submission created significant challenges. The new Social Value Framework (2025) was being applied for the first time, requiring our client to evidence commitments across all eight outcomes. These ranged from Fair Work and Sustainable Procurement to Crime Reduction and Supply Chain Resilience. New Model Award Criteria demanded innovative commitments addressing sensitive issues such as domestic violence. Our key challenge was coordinating multiple internal teams while producing a coherent, measurable and fully compliant strategy.
Led by our Social Value SME, Sarah Mohan, we facilitated structured workshops with HR, ESG and Supply Chain leads to co-design commitments aligned to commissioner requirements. Each commitment was mapped to the Social Value Model and supported by practical methodologies and measurable metrics, having undergone extensive stress-testing of ambition against feasibility. To address the new Model Award Criteria on domestic violence, we identified best practices approaches and translated them into deliverable, evidence-backed commitments that strengthened the overall submission.
